All strategies work, no one strategy is "RIGHT" or "WRONG", they simply produce different results.
Maybe they're thinking they are using the "WRONG" strategy because the results they are getting aren't the results they were looking for. Maybe the results they're getting aren't produced fast enough, or in great enough quantity.
The strategy that they are using works perfectly, it's just that a) they're not using the strategy properly, executing the correct way or b) the outcome they're receiving from that specific strategy, when executed properly, is not aligning with what they were expecting.
For example, if you were in New York City and you wanted to get to Los Angeles, California, how would you get there?
Some would say they would take a plane. Some would say they would drive there. Some may even say they'd hitch a ride...it depends on the person's idea of the best strategy for them and their circumstances.
The choice of strategy usually depends on decisions made through the person's "perceived" available resources, current values and belief system.
The people who would take the plane most likely have the resource of money available to them through their own income, borrowing from a friend or family member or through another (hopefully legal
These people most likely also believe that flying is the fastest way to reach LA - so as to use little of their resource of time. They'll probably get the most direct route there, but depending on their "perceived value" for first class, they'll make a choice to either fly with the most comfort or in a little less comfortable seat with more padding in their wallet.
For the people who would drive, most likely aren't as concerned with how long it takes to get there - as those who would fly. Perhaps they have more people to go with them and it may be cheaper to drive. Maybe they want to enjoy the exciting journey of traveling across the country, exploring as they venture.
Now, it would be silly to think that you could get to LA by driving there (with our current automotive vehicles) in the same time it would take for you to fly there? Well, this is sometimes the expectation we set for ourselves, and then we get upset when we try to drive to LA and it takes us a lot longer to do it.
The point I want to make is that all strategies work and no one particular strategy is "RIGHT" or "WRONG", but we need to choose a strategy that will meet our expectations. Usually we choose one based on our "perceived" available resources, current values and belief system. Then we judge the strategy based on our expectations of the intended results.
We need to realize that until we change our perceptions, values and beliefs, any new strategy we use or adopt will not produce the results expected or desired. For in the end, we will stay congruent with what we perceive as reality, what we value most, and what we believe in.
